MUSICA VIVA 2019–2020 SEASONS
SEASON BRANDING
Alphabet have been working with Musica Viva since 2010 to produce a distinct season look for their concert series, ‘coffee concerts’ matinee program and Sydney based festival.
The brief for 2019 was to create a bright, lively and fluid concept that would represent the audience experience of the music and appeal to the existing demographic but also attract a new, and younger audience. The three guides also need to stand alone as independent offerings but to have a visual connection as part of the 2019 season.
The season approach uses a rich, bright contemporary colour palette and elegant modern typography. Graphics interact with performers and instruments to produce a dynamic, lively aesthetic that infers the music and evokes excitement and a feeling of transcendence.
The concept for 2020’s layout was designed to extend on the graphic, colourful approach of 2019, with a style that would allow the program to draw on existing artist imagery presented in a cohesive way.
